Foster and Partners were named as one of the architectural firms to be awarded agreements when BAA announced today that it had concluded its acquisition process to select design consultants to support its capital investment programme over the next five years. The new agreements, which cover work at BAAs seven UK airports (excluding work on T5), will start on 1st January 2004.
The other architects selected were Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners, Parr Partnership, Reid Architecture and Ruddle Wilkinson. Building Services Engineers AMEC Group Ltd, Hoare Lea and WSP Buildings Ltd, and Structural Engineers Buro Happold, Halcrow, Whitbybird and WSP Buildings Ltd were also named as part of the new 2nd generation design consultants group.

Foster and Partners have previously worked with BAA on Stansted Airport and as part of the design consortium team for Chek Lap Kok Airport, Hong Kong.
