At the recent BCO (British Council for Offices) Awards dinner, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, Foster and Partners' Citigroup Centre in Canary Wharf won a national and regional award for the best Corporate Workplace.
The BCO holds an annual Awards Programme which provides public recognition for top quality design and functionality and a benchmark for excellence. This year saw a record number of submissions, which showed a high level of experimentation and innovation in office design.
Another Foster and Partners' building 100 Wood Street was also shortlisted in the Commercial Workplace cateogory. The national award winning schemes that were recognised as leading examples of excellence in office design were:
