Narinder Sagoo, Senior Partner and Art Director at Foster + Partners has been recognised in His Majesty, King Charles III, Birthday Honours List. The list acknowledges the outstanding accomplishments and service of extraordinary people across the United Kingdom. Narinder has been awarded an MBE in recognition for his exceptional contribution to charity.
Narinder Sagoo said:
“I am incredibly grateful and humbled to receive an MBE. This honour is a remarkable recognition that I never expected.
I am deeply thankful to my mentors, colleagues, friends, and family whose unwavering support has played a vital role in my success.
Receiving this honour comes with great responsibility. It serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of using our platforms to contribute meaningfully to society and inspire others. I am committed to upholding the values that the MBE represents and continuing my efforts to make a difference in the lives of those around me.
I am truly honoured and privileged to receive an MBE, and I will strive to live up to its values and expectations.”
Narinder’s involvement in charity work began at a young age, as a Cadet Sergeant in the Air Training Corps. As a Sikh, Narinder has been raised with the principle of Sevā, or selfless service, without any expectation of reward or recognition. In this spirit, he shares his charitable work sparingly, aiming to inspire others.
Narinder has collaborated with numerous charities and organisations, including The Trussell Fund, Crisis, The Big Draw, and Intermission Youth Theatre. In 2007, he travelled to Sierra Leone and Liberia with Save the Children, utilising drawing skills as a tool for advocacy and peace building.
Combining architectural expertise with his commitment to charity, Narinder has been speaking at schools and universities since 2001, mentoring individuals from primary school age to accomplished professionals. He has participated in significant volunteer projects, including designing a School for Sierra Leone in collaboration with Save the Children, UNICEF, and Article 25.
Narinder also designed the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, which was presented to President Barack Obama by Save the Children.
Foster + Partners would like to wish Narinder heartfelt congratulations on his achievement.
