Foster and Partners have designed a new multi-purpose, stacking chair, the RF1, developed in collaboration with the Danish furniture manufacturers R. Randers A/S. The RF1 is intended as a classic design solution for conference rooms, lecture theatres, classrooms, meeting rooms, canteens or as a beautiful, simple chair for the home.
The slender steel frame of RF1 makes the chair light, whilst the wide seat and back rest offers the body good support. The seat of the chair can be tilted back with a simple movement, allowing easy access to rows and a higher density of seating.The seat and back are nylon and available in the colours anthracite, light grey, white and orange. The RF1 is also available with an upholstered seat and back and an alternative version has an upholstered seat combined with nylon back-rest.
