Juan studied architecture at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and later at the Architectural Association and the Bartlett School of Architecture in the UK. Having joined Foster + Partners in 1991, he has subsequently worked across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Juan has led the design, delivery, and construction of a diverse portfolio – from private residences and cultural institutions to high-rise towers, transport hubs, and city-scale masterplans – demonstrating a consistent ability to resolve complexity with clarity and vision across every scale.
