The 210-foot tower for Safra National Bank occupies a prime corner site in Aventura and is part of the city’s vibrant metropolitan area. The building’s striking form is composed of two interlocking prisms, which converge at level two. The form coveys a sense of balance and generates spectacular spaces at the base and top of the tower, where the bank hosts its clients.
A grand entrance hall welcomes office workers and visitors from a beautifully landscaped plaza. The 37-foot light-filled space features informal seating areas for people to relax and socialise in. An offset core and elevator lobby on the west side of the building provides access to the office floorplates, which are maximised to optimise views of the ocean to the east.
At the top of the tower, a generously proportioned executive level offers client meeting rooms, boardrooms, executive offices, and a lounge area. The expansive roof terrace above features a bar, seating and dining areas, and landscaping against a spectacular city backdrop. A louvred horizontal screen extends out from the core to protect guests from the sun.
The glazed tower has a steel and anodised aluminium-clad exoskeleton, with louvres that define the four corners and shade the internal spaces. Warmer natural materials, such as timber and limestone, are used in the entrance hall and across the bank’s floors to create a pleasant environment that enhances wellbeing.
